In July 2009, Daniel spent a few more days promoting Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Attending the World Premiere in London, England, where it rained like any other Harry Potter Premiere. Dan was excited to promote the movie, as more and more articles about him personally popped up. One stating that he liked older women, but now likes girls his own age. The movie opened on the first day with a startling $104 million in the first 24 hours. The movie proved the best opening of the Harry Potter franchise.

The movie was one of the most anticipated, as Fans sold out the theaters for days to see the movie. Dan attended many different shows, including his second appearance on Late Show with David Letterman. He also did press conferences and appearances. This movie shows Daniel at another of his Acting bests and how he is ready for more adventures to come.
