The Goblet
Filming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire started in Spring 2004 with a new director. The new film was going to be the same old deal, but better. Still Scarier, Darker, and funnier. A lot funnier. The thought of how many stunts you can do came to mind as Dan had to face the “Triwizard Tournament”. From exploding rocks to falling off a castle roof, to spending an hour (41 hours 38 min actual time for filming, to be exact) underwater. This new installment has proved to be one of the best.
To prove that ‘Goblet’ was the ultimate action flick, Dan had to bleed. He was quoted saying “There’s actual blood flowing.” but to insure fans that he was OK he said, “Of course it´s not my own, but film blood! However, I did cut my fingers on a page of the script. That hurt like hell!”. He wanted the fans to get there money’s worth so he went the whole nine yards. He wanted to have the full experience and did all the stunts he could. It would prove the test of time.
The films release on November 18, 2005 placed Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in seventh as the highest grossing film. Ranking at $879,835,732 worldwide, the film was one of the fan favorites. Even the critics had to admit that Dan was an exceptional actor. With the critics raving reviews and stars praising the movie and actors, the next was sure to be a hit!
